The course for people who want their minds back
You already know your relationship with screens is a problem.
You feel it in your nervous system.
You see it in your attention span.
You notice it every time you scroll long past the point of enjoyment and into a numb, out-of-body, existential fog.
You’re tired of feeling hijacked by the very thing you use to stay informed and connected.
You have lost days to doomscrolling, absorbing emotions that aren’t even yours.
And you know you aren’t alone in your experience.
You’re concerned for the world we’re building.
You can FEEL that a distracted population can’t show up well— politically, spiritually, relationally.
You want to pay attention
…to think deeply
…to act intentionally.
You want your life to mirror your values.
But right now, your attention is scattered.
Your imagination is fleeting.
Your agency is leaking.
You’re ready to reclaim your most valuable resource: your time.
This course is for you if you want:
-
To beat your phone addiction sustainably.
-
To sharpen your attention so change is actually possible
-
To be online consciously, creatively, and ethically
-
To use the internet to support your life instead of swallow it
ATTENTION 101 is your intervention.
We’re not here to moralize screens.
But to master the way they engage your
mind, attention, creativity, and behavior.
💾 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
ATTENTION 101 is a four-week exploration of the internet, your nervous system, your emotional landscape, and your spiritual agency.
By the end of this course, you will:
-
Be a force against big corporations' manipulation and illusions
-
Rebuild your imagination through creative attention practices
-
Develop personal ethics and boundaries around your consumption habits
-
Slow down into conscious choice to reclaim your agency again and again
Because attention is not just personal.
It’s a civic responsibility.
It’s a spiritual discipline.
It’s the foundation of meaningful change
In the world, and within yourself.
💾 THE COURSE
SESSION ONE — GET REAL ABOUT YOUR DIGITAL LIFE
We’ll explore the idea of the digital dreamscape — the imaginative, symbolic, chaotic, and deeply karmic realm we’ve built inside our devices.
By the end of this session, you’ll understand what attention actually is, how it’s being drained, and how to build it back.
We’ll cover:
-
Compulsive consumption versus conscious creation
-
Are you using the internet — or is it using you?
-
How your “digital duplicate” becomes your identity in the attention economy
-
How to eliminate moral measurement and see the digital realm as a mirror
SESSION TWO — EMOTION, MOVEMENT & ACTION
If you’re not moving your emotions, the internet is moving them for you.
Social media artificially pumps your nervous system full of feeling — outrage, fear, longing, envy, excitement.
Together we’ll examine:
-
How overstimulation scrambles your emotional signals and confuses intuition
-
The weight of unprocessed digital saturation
-
Whether you’re using screens to avoid feeling
-
How to observe your sensitivity like a scientist
This class reconnects your emotional body with your physical body
— so action becomes possible again.
We return you to the heart of the internet:
Creation, not compulsion.
SESSION THREE — INTERNET ETHICS & HYGIENE
If you want a better digital world, you have to participate ethically in creating it.
And do so for generations.
So how do we bring our values into the present and the future?
We’ll cover:
-
The machinery of the attention economy
-
Memery as the modern fabric of collective meaning (and how it shapes you)
-
How to develop your own personal research practice and curriculum
-
Reimagining what online and offline life could be
SESSION FOUR — REBUILDING THE ALTAR TO YOUR ATTENTION
Your attention is sacred. Let’s teach you how to honor it.
This final session is about building a long-term relationship with your attention — not just detoxing for a week.
We’ll explore:
-
Human Design & correct consumption for your type
-
Building an intentional relationship with the online town square
-
The critical nature of hobbies (and the crisis of having none)
-
The ethical impact of phone use in relationships and societal change
-
How to participate in a decentralized, creator-supported internet
This session builds your long-range vision into action.
💾 by the end of ATTENTION 101...
You’ll have:
-
A steadier nervous system and a healthier emotional + creative life.
-
A relationship with technology rooted in choice, not compulsion.
-
Tools that make you less distractible and more alive.
-
A digital practice aligned with your values and a clear vision for how your attention shapes the world.
This isn’t about willpower (you already have that).
It’s about strategy, discernment, and agency.
Your attention is one of the last sacred resources you control —
and this is how you reclaim it.
A distracted world cannot heal itself

Sign up for USA residents includes the ATTENTION AS DEVOTION ZINE! (so be sure to include your address during registration!)
About the Zine:
Attention as Devotion is a zine about returning to the vivid, breathing world right in front of us. A gentle nudge toward reclaiming your agency, one small, sacred shift at a time.
Take this zine with you as a pocket-compass for change — a reminder that looking up is the first step back to yourself. Attention as Devotion invites you to step back from the noise of media, and remember that how you use your focus shapes not only your life, but the world you’re participating in. Small acts of conscious choice become the building blocks of the future we want to live in.
Every moment you reclaim your attention is a contribution, a gesture, toward the world you want to create.
(Zines will be sent to USA students only, but international students will get a digital copy!)

About your instructors:

Monica Alanna is a communication wizard, conflict alchemist, and grief mentor who teaches people how to reclaim their autonomy in a world designed to steal their attention and resources. Through her group work and 1:1 sessions, she empowers individuals to participate in their lives and communities in ways that deepen relationships and contribute to the world we all daydream about creating.
She writes extensively about the altars we’ve built to screens — and how dismantling them opens the door to emotional intelligence, fortified boundaries, and a life you actually enjoy living. She teaches that technologies are tools for creation and care, and that they become dangerous when turned into weapons bolstering corporate interests.
Blending peace education, somatic practices, relational skill-building, and dreams-as-action work, Monica helps people reorient toward agency and build IRL and digital lives that support rather than swallow their humanity.
Known as the “What Should I Say?” Witch, she offers both language and courage for navigating the hard stuff with heart — so that a better world can be more than built, but refined and sustained through generations
(Monica is a 5/1 splenic projector) 😉

Hanna Williams is a devoted student and initiate in a classical Shakta (Goddess) Tantric lineage rooted in the teachings of Abhinavagupta, the founder of Kashmir Shaivism. For the past decade, she has practiced within a tradition that treats attention itself as sacred—the primary gateway through which Grace is recognized, invoked, and embodied.
In her lineage, what you place your attention on becomes your reality. Attention is the first act of worship, the first movement of devotion, and the first gesture of liberation. This view has shaped Hanna’s deep interest in how modern life—especially social media—scatters the very faculty required for spiritual clarity and meaningful human connection.
ATTENTION 101 is shaped by her spiritual devotion, her study of human behavior, and her belief that reclaiming your attention is both a personal and collective act of evolution—one that prepares us for a more truthful, grounded, and imaginative future. And... as the child of an early internet nerd, the original spirit of being online (open source sharing of information & cooperative discussion) is DEEPLY important for her personally. She can't wait to YAP YOUR EARS OFF about this topic!
(Hanna is a 2/4 splenic projector) 😉
